An army builder for StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game

Mineral Line is a free app for building army lists for StarCraft: Tabletop Miniatures Game. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets. It works offline, and there’s no account to make.

It has 27 units across Terran, Zerg and Protoss, 7 Faction Cards and 35 Tactical Cards. Costs and cards follow Archon Studio’s published data, and changes reach the app without a store update.

Lists that stay legal

Start with a faction and a Faction Card. Then pick the size of the game: Skirmish, Standard or Grand Offensive start at 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000 Minerals, and you can change the number, for an 800-Mineral game say. Vespene Gas is set to 10% of the Minerals, as the Core Rules say.

As you add units, the builder counts Minerals, Gas and every Army Slot. It only offers units and upgrades your list can still take. When something doesn’t fit, it says why: no Elite slots free, not enough Minerals left, a unit that needs a different Faction Card, or a Unique unit that’s already in the list.

A list can still break a rule later, for example when you remove the Tactical Card that gave you a Hero slot. The list check then says which rule is broken and offers a fix, such as a Tactical Card that adds the slot. Nothing is removed without asking.

Units, upgrades and cards

Every unit has its full card in the app: stats, weapons, abilities and upgrades. Keywords on a card open their rule with one tap. Pick a unit’s size and upgrades and the cost updates as you go. Tactical Cards show their Gas cost and the Army Slots they add.

The faction pages list every unit and card with its costs: Terran, Zerg and Protoss.

Share and print

Show a list as a QR code for your opponent to scan at the table, share it as a code, or export a PDF roster. Lists someone shares with you can be imported. New to the game? Start from one of the example lists and change it from there.

Take it to the table

When a list is ready, start a game with it. The game tracker loads your units, so you can mark damage and activations as you play, and every game goes into your stats for that list.
